If you've been shopping for a slick midsize crossover, chances are the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano is on your shopping list. However, unlike last year's model, deals have been lackluster on the newest version. Recent changes from Nissan appear to signal hope of improvement in the near-term. Here's what you need to know.

A new Murano

The Murano is completely redesigned for 2015. The all-new crossover has quickly replaced the outgoing 2014 model on dealer lots.

Unfortunately, rebates worth up to $3,500 are gone as well. Shoppers have only had a promotional lease offer on the 2015 model.. until now.

Sign of better deals

Last week Nissan added the first low APR financing offer on the Murano. Shoppers now get the option to finance from as little as 0.9% for up to 48 months. If you prefer a 60-month term, the rate rises slightly to 1.9%.

We still aren't seeing cash offers, but this may change now that the 2014 models are gone. Based on how Nissan typically markets the Murano, we expect to see some improvement within the next 30-60 days.

This time period is important considering Memorial Day is coming up on May 25 and Nissan always has bonus offers around holidays. If they can have bonus deals during Saint Patrick's Day, it's reasonable to think they may have something special in store for Memorial Day.

Our take

If you've been waiting to buy the "latest and greatest" version of the Murano, you get a new financing option for April. If you prefer to wait for a cash rebate, we think Nissan may choose to sweeten incentives for Memorial Day like they do nearly every year.
