New car deals nearing the last half of August offer some advantages. For example, GM recently introduced discounts for FCA owners & lessees that can be combined with incentives like Employee Pricing and savings worth up to 15% off.

However, an ongoing inventory shortage could make it harder to get a great price ahead of next month's Labor Day holiday. At the moment, the 2020 Ford F-150 remains a top deal on a truck as one of the few models with 0% APR for 72 months.

COVID-19 is expected to hit Millennials particularly hard and younger buyers are choosing cheaper cars as a result. Fortunately, incentives like this month's $6,250 rebate on the Ford EcoSport can make some models especially affordable.

Special offers on zero-emission EVs have traditionally favored leasing instead of buying. However, our analysis finds that incentives for buying have never been better on some models, with 0% APR for 72 months plus cashback on the 2020 LEAF.

Upcoming vehicles like the 2021 Kia Stinger will offer sharper looks and updated features. Similarly, Mazda will debut a range of first-ever Carbon Edition SUVs with blackout styling, while the Hyundai Elantra N Line could be the sportiest Elantra yet.

Stay tuned for CarsDirect's ongoing coverage of the latest news on pricing and deals that matters to shoppers.
