Buying a car after Labor Day can still get you access to outstanding deals. For example, Chevy is offering Costco members a lease on the Bolt EV starting at just $154/month. We're also seeing 0% financing for the first time ever on the Hyundai Palisade, the best deal to date on the brand's wildly popular midsize SUV.
The cheapest leases continue to start at just $139/month, although we're still seeing chances to pay no money down on a variety of Honda models. Meanwhile, sporty cars continue to feature stellar deals like 0% APR for 72 months on the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat or rebates worth up to $7,970 in savings off MSRP.
We're also seeing upcoming models with new discounts. For example, Ford is now offering 0.9% APR financing on the GT version of the upcoming Mustang Mach-E. Previously, the all-electric SUV's highest-performance model was excluded. The best green car deals can even offer federal tax credits and local plug-in rebates.
That said, not every car, truck, or SUV features a deal amidst this fall's clearance events. For example, the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback now features no incentives for buying and leasing and can be very tough to find. Similarly, VW has scaled back 0% APR offers on both the Golf and GTI from 72 months to just 60.
Thinking of buying a truck? You may want to think again. Once again, GM is offering no APR deals on either the Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra. Ford has also discontinued a 0% financing offer for 72 months on the F-150 and replaced it with 3.9% APR. Expect to see higher prices at dealers amidst an inventory shortage.
