2015 INFINITI Q60 IPL

The IPL version of the Q60 coupe has retired, so the convertibles goes it alone.

The Q60 IPL features a power hardtop that retracts neatly behind the rear seats. With the top up, the IPL feels very much a coupe with no unwanted noise or weather sensitivity. The standard 3.7-liter V6 produces 343 horsepower, 13 more than on non-IPL models. Every example comes with rear-drive, a specially tuned IPL sport suspension, a limited-slip differential and a seven-speed automatic transmission with magnesium paddle shifters. You also get upgraded brakes and steering, and a sport-tuned exhaust system. Summer performance tires and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels complete the mechanical setup.

The IPL carries specific sports seats in red or neutral leather (both with red stitching) and silky-finish aluminum interior trim. Bodies are finished in Majestic White or Malbec Black (an inky metallic). Special aerodynamic enhancements are exclusive to the IPL. The top can be lowered before you climb in courtesy of an exterior touchpad.

In terms of comfort and convenience, nothing has been left to the option list. You get heated and cooled front seats with dual memory, a Bose Open Air surround-sound system, speed-sensitive wipers, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth phone and audio, and a navigation system with real-time traffic and voice controls. With all of this and more standard, there are no packages available or needed.

INFINITI does offer a small but choice collection of individual options, including a satin black grille treatment, illuminated stainless steel door sill moldings and a removable rear wind deflector, which we consider rather essential in a luxury convertible.
