2024 Mazda CX-30 Changes
The Mazda CX-30 arrived in 2020 and has been through a handful of mild changes since. For the 2024 model year, the CX-30 will go through a few more changes. The changes start with the all-new 2.5 Carbon Turbo trim that includes bespoke exterior and interior styling, such as black-metallic-finish 18-inch alloy wheels, black side mirrors, a black signature grille, wing and side garnish, and an exclusive Zircon Sand exterior color.
Another all-new variant for the 2024 CX-30 is the 2.5 S Select Sport, which adds aluminum roof rails, exclusive Ceramic Metallic paint, 18-inch alloy wheels with a black metallic finish, and lacks metallic side mirrors. Inside, this model gains black leatherette seats, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and much more.
Other updates include a newly available 10.25-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Cruising and Traffic Support technology, and dual USB-C inputs.

2024 Mazda CX-30 Towing Capacity
The 2024 Mazda CX-30 is not known for its great towing capacity, but it's respectable for a compact SUV. With the base engine, this crossover can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Upgrading to the turbocharged engine bumps the towing capacity to 2,000 pounds.
2024 Mazda CX-30 Dimensions & Cargo Capacity

The NHTSA has tested the 2024 Mazda CX-30 for safety, and it received a five-star overall safety rating. However, it's only been through a portion of testing. In frontal-crash and side-crash tests, it received five-star ratings, but its rollover rating is only four stars. The NHTSA has yet to test any of its safety technology. However, the 2023 model passed all safety technology tests other than the standard automatic emergency braking test, which it failed.
2024 Mazda CX-30 Technology
The 2024 CX-30 2.5 S trim kicks things off with a nice array of desirable technology as standard, such as an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, a six-speaker audio system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual USB-C outlets, Bluetooth, Pandora internet radio, and more. This standard tech remains mostly unchanged in the 2.5 S Select Sport and 2.5 S Preferred trims. The first change comes in the form of a standard eight-speaker audio system, HD Radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless device charger in the 2.5 S Carbon Edition trim. The 2.5 S Premium Package ups the ante with a standard 12-speaker Bose audio system, SiriusXM, and navigation.
Moving up to the turbocharged models, the lineup includes the 2.5 Carbon Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium Package, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus Package. All three trims come standard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, and a wireless device charger. The only difference is the 2.5 Carbon Turbo has an eight-speaker audio system and no SiriusXM or navigation, while the 2.5 Turbo Premium Package and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus Package trims come with SiriusXM, navigation, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.
