2024 Nissan ARIYA Changes

With the Nissan ARIYA arriving as an all-new model in 2023, the 2024 Nissan ARIYA is arriving without any major changes. That’s to be expected, as the ARIYA still feels like a fresh option in the all-electric SUV segment.

Choosing Your 2024 Nissan ARIYA

The 2024 Nissan ARIYA is available in six trims: Engage, Venture+, Evolve+, Engage+, Empower+, and Platinum+. Prices for the ARIYA range from $40,980 to $55,580.

2024 Nissan ARIYA Engine Options

The powertrain lineup for the 2024 Nissan ARIYA is incredibly confusing. One easy way for shoppers to wrap their heads around the ARIYA’s powertrain lineup is to break things down by front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and battery pack size. ARIYA models with “e-4orce” in their names come with AWD and dual electric motors. The “+” designation signifies models with the larger 87-kWh battery pack as opposed to the standard 63-kWh battery pack.

2024 Nissan ARIYA Fuel Economy

As one would expect, fuel economy figures for the 2024 Nissan ARIYA range wildly based on the configuration. The most efficient trim in the lineup is the Venture+ with FWD, which is rated at up to 103 MPGe combined and has a range of up to 304 miles. The Engage FWD is the next step down with a combined rating of up to 101 MPGe, while the Evolve+ and Empower+ are rated at up to 98 MPGe combined.

ARIYA e-4orce models aren’t as efficient as their FWD counterparts. The Engage e-4orce model is rated at 95 MPGe combined, the Engage+ and Evolve+ e-4orce are rated at 92 MPGe combined, and the Platinum+ e-4orce is rated at 90 MPGe combined. With the available 20-inch wheels, fuel economy for the Patinum+ e-4orce trim is rated at up to 87 MPGe combined.

2024 Nissan ARIYA Towing Capacity

2024 Nissan ARIYA Dimensions & Cargo Capacity

2024 Nissan ARIYA Venture+ -- MSRP From $42,580

Build & Price >

It features the larger 87-kWh battery pack and comes with cloth seats and a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat instead of synthetic leather upholstery and driver-adjustable driver’s seat. Additionally, the Venture+ isn’t available with a power-sliding center console, heated front and rear seats, Nissan’s Divide-N-Hide cargo system, and a heated steering wheel.

2024 Nissan ARIYA Evolve+ – MSRP From $45,580

Build & Price >

The AWD Evolve+ e-4orce starts at $49,580.

2024 Nissan ARIYA Engage+ e-4orce – MSRP From $46,580

2024 Nissan ARIYA Platinum+ e-4orce – MSRP From $55,580

Build & Price >

The range-topping Platinum+ e-4orce comes standard with leather upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, memory settings for the front seats, a power-adjustable steering column, and ventilated front seats.

This trim is available with 20-inch wheels as a no-cost option.

CarsDirect Tip

The majority of the 2024 Nissan ARIYA Engage range has below-average range for the segment. With that in mind, we think the Venture+ trim is the best choice, as it has the most range. While it may not have the same premium features as other trims, it still comes relatively well-equipped and is competitively priced.

The 2024 Nissan Ariya Is A Competitive Electric Vehicle

While Nissan was one of the first automakers to come out with a mass-market electric vehicle with the Leaf, the Japanese automaker has lagged behind competitors by not updating the Leaf and keeping it uncompetitive. The Nissan Ariya arrived in 2023 as Nissan’s latest and greatest EV and gives consumers a good option to explore from the brand.

The 2024 Nissan Ariya may not receive any changes for the new model year, but it’s still the best electric car with a Nissan badge.

2024 Nissan Ariya Has A Plush Interior Design

The 2024 Nissan Ariya has a high-end design that makes the best use of its size. The Ariya’s interior design is unlike another other Nissan on sale. Passengers will find an elegant design with a tiered dashboard, air vents that span nearly the full width of the dashboard, and sleek touch-capacitive controls. The floating center console design and flat-bottom steering wheel are other special design elements. It’s an upscale look that helps the Ariya stand out in the grown segment.

The 2024 Nissan Ariya Features Spacious Seats

Measuring 182.9 inches in length, the 2024 Nissan Ariya is similar in size to the compact Nissan Rogue, but the electric SUV has interior space that’s more akin to the midsize Nissan Murano. While the Ariya’s floor is slightly higher than it is in other all-electric SUVs, the SUV still has plenty of interior space to accommodate adults in both rows.

In the front, the Ariya has 39.6 inches of headroom and 42.3 inches of legroom. The seats also have a good amount of cushioning and are supportive on long drives. Passengers sitting in the back of the Ariya get 38.3 inches of headroom and 37 inches of legroom, which is enough space for adults to sit comfortably.

Can The 2024 Nissan Ariya Hold A Lot Of Cargo?

Unlike most electric vehicles on sale, the 2024 Nissan Ariya doesn’t have a front trunk. While some shoppers may view that as a drawback, the Ariya still has a usable amount of cargo space. The SUV has 22.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and a total of 59.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. These figures may not lead the class, but it’s enough space to haul sizable items.

2024 Nissan Ariya Is Missing A High-Performance Trim

Electric vehicles offer exciting performance and automakers have taken advantage of all-electric powertrains to offer performance-oriented trims with great performance. The 2024 Nissan Ariya isn’t available in a high-performance trim and, compared to other EVs in the segment, has dull performance.

Nissan offers the Ariya in numerous layouts with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The majority of the Ariya lineup comes with a single electric motor that makes 214 horsepower with the 63-kWh battery pack or 238 hp with an available 87-kWh battery pack. With FWD, the Ariya takes roughly 7.5 seconds to get to 60 mph, which is modest compared to rivals.

Dual-motor models have far better performance and are differentiated by the e-4orce name. The base Engage e-4orce comes with two electric motors and a 66-kWh battery pack that makes 335 hp. Higher e-4orce models come with an 87-kWh battery pack and have 389 hp. Ariya models with dual electric motors are far quicker in a straight line, being able to get to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. While that’s quicker, it’s still not as quick as other electric SUVs.

Does The 2024 Nissan Ariya Have A Lot Of Range?

Depending on the configuration, the 2024 Nissan Ariya has between 205 miles of range to 304 miles of range. That’s a wide difference that gives shoppers a lot of choice. The Ariya can be a short-range urban vehicle or a capable daily driver.

2024 Nissan Ariya Has A Comfort-Forward Ride Quality

While one would assume that FWD and AWD 2024 Nissan Ariya models handle similarly, that’s far from the truth. FWD Ariyas have a soft suspension setup that results in a comfortable ride, but the electric SUV can feel waywardly at times. The Ariya’s body leans heavily, while the SUV dives and pitches under acceleration and braking.

Dual-motor Ariyas with AWD are far more composed, as they come with more advanced motors that improve the SUV’s handling. In addition to providing the Ariya with traction and acceleration, the electric motors in e-4orce models aid the SUV’s stability system, shuffling power between the motors and squeezing individual brakes. The system can correct some of the Ariya’s shortcomings, including its lean and pitch when cornering.

The 2024 Nissan Ariya Is Available With High-Tech Safety Features

Nissan ARIYA

The 2024 Nissan Ariya comes packed with all of the latest safety features as standard. While most drivers will be happy with the Ariya’s list of standard features, the electric SUV is available with the cutting-edge ProPilot Assist 2.0 system.

ProPilot Assist 2.0 is Nissan’s hands-free driver-assistance system. It’s one of the few hands-free driver-assist systems on the market and can be used on more than 200,000 miles of mapped highways in North America. The system works well and can take the chore out of driving for hours on the highway.

Is The 2024 Nissan Ariya A Good Electric SUV?

The EV landscape has changed immensely since the Nissan Leaf debuted. The 2024 Nissan Ariya is a competitive EV that stands up against rivals with a premium design, a comfortable ride, a usable amount of range, and high-tech features. It lacks the shocking performance, sharp performance, and quick charge times that others in the segment have.

2024 Nissan Ariya Alternatives

The Kia EV6 offers far more performance than the Ariya. Performance for the EV6 ranges from 225 hp to 576 hp, allowing the SUV to get to 3.2 seconds. The EV6 also has a striking design, sharp driving dynamics, and a roomy cabin.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is another strong performer in the class. The Mach-E delivers athletic handling, has up to 480 hp, can get to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and offers up to 312 miles of range. The Mach-E is available in a rugged Rally trim, has a 15.5-inch touchscreen, and has a total of 59.7 cubic feet of cargo space.
