Does Rivian Have R1T Leases?

The Rivian R1T can now be leased according to Rivian's official website. However, the automaker is currently limiting leasing to select states only.

These Rivian R1T leasing states include: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington.

Curiously, the Rivian R1S is not yet eligible for leasing, potentially giving the R1T an advantage for shoppers not looking for long-term ownership.

Rivian R1T Tax Credit

The Rivian R1T is eligible for a $3,750 federal tax credit based on IRS data.

Although the truck would have qualified for a $7,500 incentive under old rules, the Inflation Reduction Act makes the truck only eligible for half the discount.

That's because the federal EV tax credit now rewards vehicles assembled in North America using battery components sourced here as well.

Rivian R1T EV Rebates

Some states offer plug-in rebates that can save you money on EVs. However, your options may be limited due to the Rivian R1T's relatively high price.

For example, California's Clean Vehicle Rebate has an MSRP cap that excludes the Rivian R1T from the $2,000 incentive.
