2022 Passat is the final model year

VW has confirmed that the Passat will be discontinued next year, making the 2022 model year the last. A Limited Edition trim tops out this final year lineup, starting at $31,290 MSRP, compared to $24,990 for the S, $28,290 for the SE, and $30,290 for the R-Line.

Unfortunately, all Volkswagen models can be difficult to find in stock right now.

No special offers again this month

Five months ago, the 2022 Passat SE 2.0T was advertised at $299 per month for 36 months with $3,499 due at signing. With an effective cost of $396/month, this was a very poor value given this vehicle's MSRP.

This offer included a 10,000-mile-per-year driving allowance. Other mileage options may be available but will likely affect your final price.

Special offers for military, grads

A $500 bonus is available for qualified military and first responders.

In addition, new college graduates (i.e. graduated in the past 24 months) with proof of permanent, full-time income are eligible to receive a $500 credit on new financing or lease contracts signed with Volkswagen Credit.

VW Passat Finance Deals

Rates from 4.7% APR for 60 months

Promotional finance rates were also canceled four months ago. Previously, they started at 1.9% APR for 60 months.

Standard rates start at 4.7% APR for 60 months or 5.45% APR for 72 months (compared to last month's rates of 4.31% APR for 60 months or 5.06% APR for 72 months and 3.36% APR for 60 months or 4.11% APR for 72 months the month before that).
